Honor Flight to be Featured on NCIS

4. Honor Flight to be Featured on NCIS

An Honor Flight is conducted by non-profit organizations dedicated to transporting as many United States military veterans as possible to see the memorials in Washington, D.C. of the respective war(s) they fought at no cost to the veterans.

On March 28^th NCIS features Honor Flight. It airs at 8:00 P.M. (EST) on CBS-TV.

A major objective of our Chapter is to assist veterans.  In order to do so, we require money and so have one or more fundraisers each year.

March 11, 2017 - 72nd Anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima and 30th Birthday of the Iwo Jima Survivors Association

We will be giving a slide show talk and presentation about the Battle of Iwo Jima, Survivors Association, building of the Memorial, Victory Ride, Museum and MOH recipient Hershel Williams and flag raiser, Harlon Block.  We will also be celebrating the 30th year since the Iwo Jima Survivors Association was formed.  Come learn all about us and share a piece of birthday cake for the Survivors Association.

Takes place at the Lucy Robbins Wells library in Newington on March 11th at 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room. FREE.  Please see attached flier
